Dear Subscriber,

We're thrilled to announce a new update to Myo-Hand XP! Version 1.5 brings fixes to some of the issues identified at the start of the pilot. We have also included some new features based on your feedback. Myo-Hand XP should update automatically once the headset is turned on.

Please see the update details below.

Key Updates
Sensor Input Visual Feedback
We added a cool new watch to the prosthesis! This watch will display the user’s input to the MyoCuff in the form of a pattern icon and a power bar. This should help people visualise what myo activations they are performing.
App Quit Button
You can now find an exit button in the home menu. Press it for 3 seconds to close the Myo-Hand XP app. This will not power off the headset, so we still recommend manually turning off the headset before storing it.
Tutorial Exit Button
You can now exit tutorials without finishing them by pressing the exit button in the tutorial instructions screen. This button will automatically take you back to the home environment.
New Pick and Cook Plates
The serving plates in Pick and Cook have a new look! The order request display now shows the ingredients required, including which ones have been placed on the plate. We also added a “Done” button to validate the dish when this doesn’t happen automatically.
Issues Solved
Wrist Rotation Requirement in Paintball Town Tutorial
We removed the requirement to switch colours in all the tutorials for Paintball Town to make it more accessible.
Pick and Cook Plates Not Scoring
The new Pick and Cook serving plates should now register all food placed on them. We have removed the requirement that the food is placed in the right order to make them easier to use. In case the food is not properly registered, the “Done” button should re-validate the food on the plate.
We're Listening

We are continually seeking ways to improve Myo-Hand XP. Please share your thoughts on this update and any other features you'd like to see in the future.

Thank you for your continued support!
